Who needs annual vaccinations?

Annual flu shots are an important tool for staying healthy during cold and flu season. Most people ages 6 months and older should get a flu shot every year!

Why should I get a flu shot?

No matter your age, getting a flu shot reduces your risk of getting seriously ill. Flu symptoms can vary in strength and severity, from a minor inconvenience to hospitalization. We know that getting a shot is never on anyone’s list of favorite things to do, but a minor jab can save you major pains in the future. Plus, getting a flu shot protects your family, your friends and your community through herd immunity.

How much will the flu shot cost?

Most insurance plans cover the flu vaccine at no charge to you! Flu vaccines are also covered by Medicare and Medicaid. 

Patients with Group Health Cooperative (GHC) insurance will need to get their flu shots at a clinic. 

How long does getting a flu shot take?

Getting vaccinated at Forward Pharmacy is quick and easy! If you book online, you should be in and out in a matter of minutes.

Walk-in flu shots are available — but these can take a bit longer and are subject to staff availability. 

What should I bring with me?

Bring along your insurance card. That’s all! 

What should I wear? 

We recommend wearing a short-sleeve t-shirt.

Which kinds of flu vaccines do you offer?

We offer the flu shots for children 5 and up and adults under the age of 65 as well as the high dose flu vaccine for patients 65 years of age and older. We also offer COVID-19, Influenza, Shingrix, Pneumococcal, and other Immunizations for ages 5 and Up.

Can I get a flu shot and a COVID shot at the same time?

Yes! 

Do you have the new COVID booster?

We will! The FDA has approved and the CDC has recommended a new COVID booster for everyone. We are waiting for the new COVID vaccines to arrive in our pharmacy. When they do, we will let you know!

Do you offer other vaccines?

Yes! At Forward Pharmacy you can receive immunizations to protect against shingles, pneumonia, RSV, hepatitis, whooping cough, tetanus and many others.  Most vaccines are covered under most insurance plans at no charge to the patient.
