Forward Pharmacy co-founder and owner Matt Mabie is headed to Washington on Monday to speak against the unfair and harmful practices of Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBMs), and we need your help!

PBMs were created back in the 1970s as a way to simplify pharmacy billing. Your health insurance or Medicare Part D plan uses a PBM to process your prescription insurance claim. Over the years, these organizations have merged and transformed into monopolist companies that negotiate lower prices for themselves and higher prices for patients like you. Your prescriptions and insurance premiums are higher because of PBMs. Giant corporations are robbing patients of choice in marketplace and preventing pharmacists from providing care to the members of the communities they are proud to serve. 

This one sided relationship has forced many local pharmacies to go out of business.  Matt is going to Washington D.C. to ask for a level playing field.  After all, shouldn’t every patient be allowed to choose where to fill prescriptions?
