VACCINE

August is National Immunization Awareness Month

National Immunization Awareness Month is a time to remind people of the importance of getting vaccinated. Vaccines help protect people from getting sick. Being up to date on your COVID-19 vaccines means you are as protected as possible from severe illness, hospitalization, and death.

If you have received all doses in the primary series and all booster doses recommended for you, you are up to date with your COVID-19 vaccines. The recommendations will be different depending on which vaccine you received, your age, your health status, and when you first got vaccinated. You can use the Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) COVID-19 booster tool to learn if and when you can get boosters to stay up to date with your COVID-19 vaccines.

If you have any questions about COVID-19 or other vaccines, please ask your Forward Pharmacist!
