Forward Pharmacy is seeking a full-time Pharmacy Technician for immediate employment!

A person in this position will be key in providing outstanding customer service as you are the face and the voice our customers hear first.  This person must be reliable, dependable, punctual,  and pay close attention to details.  It will be important to be able to adapt to different personalities from both a supervisor and customer perspective.  Must understand and maintain patient confidentiality.  Looking for individuals who are interested and passionate about clinical services (med sync, compliance packaging, MTM/eCare plans) and growing professionally within the pharmacy industry.  At least 1 year pharmacy experience preferred but will train if necessary.  Must be available Monday – Friday.  Some weekends will be required.    

Salary: To be determined at interview.  Pay may depend on skills and/or qualifications

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide day-to-day support to the pharmacist in pharmacy workflow
  • Accurately verify incoming prescription information and prepare prescriptions for dispensing
  • Prepare medications for home or facility delivery
  • Inventory management
  • Clinical Services: obtain medication histories, offer immunizations to eligible patients, med sync, compliance packaging, documenting e-Care plans, assisting pharmacists in preparing/scheduling MTM consultations

Qualifications include:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to read and interpret documents
  • Accurate typing and computer skills
  • Previous technician experience, and/or certification preferred; not required

Working Conditions include:

  • Walking and standing for long periods of time (4-8 hours)
  • Ability to reach down to the floor and up to higher shelves to retrieve medications
  • Have manual dexterity to handle small tablets and capsules, and to remove bottle caps
  • May require lifting and carrying light loads (up to 25 pounds)
