Michelle Dreger has been a PharmD for almost a decade, having graduated from UW-Madison’s School of Pharmacy in 2010. Over those years, Michelle has taken pride in helping a wide range of patients get the care they need and find the resources they need to stay healthy. Now, Michelle leads the Columbus location, Forward Pharmacy’s fourth location, which opened at the former Sharrow’s Downtown, in the historic “Four Corners” of Columbus, Wisconsin. A Randolph native, Michelle is a long-term resident of the area and moved to Columbus the same day she began working at the pharmacy.
Michelle oversees the department, providing pharmacy services and keeping patients informed about their prescriptions and over-the-counter medications. She enjoys serving patients in the broader context of a community gathering place. “Our location is unique with a coffee shop, so I also enjoy scooping and serving ice cream on occasion,” she says.
The pharmacy’s community feel reinforces Michelle’s vision of the future of pharmacy should be: patient-centered care focused on proactive healthcare. “We’re a community-focused operation, meaning our first priority is taking care of our neighbors’ health and wellbeing through the practice of pharmacy.” She encourages the pharmacists and technicians at Forward Pharmacy to take time to make sure every patient’s questions are answered, addressing any concerns they may have about the medication they’ve been prescribed.
In her free time, Michelle enjoys spending time with her family, and playing volleyball. She also coaches volleyball locally.
