Kim is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin School of Pharmacy and has been practicing as a pharmacist in Dane County for 25 years. She has devoted much of the last 10 years providing consultations for people traveling outside the United States, and joined the Forward Pharmacy team in late 2021.
Kim Shumaker is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin School of Pharmacy and has been practicing as a pharmacist in Dane County for 25 years. Since joining the Forward Pharmacy team in late 2021, she has enjoyed getting to know the clientele and assisting their optimization of health with medications, supplements, and vaccinations.
Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, Kim devoted much of the last ten years to providing consultations for people traveling outside the United States, offering recommendations, and providing vaccinations for preventable travel-related illnesses. As people have begun to take an interest in international travel again, she is excited to share her knowledge as a travel consultant with Forward Pharmacy!
In her free time, you might find Kim enjoying a local music festival, building teamwork skills with her dogs for agility sports, getting dirty in her gardens and cheering on the Packers!
In terms of travel, Kim experienced a trip of a lifetime in 2015 when she met up with friends to explore the South African Cape and experience the incredible landscapes and wildlife of Kruger National Park. From there, she had the unique opportunity to experience the local culture and beauty of the small islands off the northern coast of Madagascar, petting lemurs, watching dolphins, and swimming with sea turtles in the Indian Ocean.
