Columbia County’s Parent Support Group

A new resource for caregivers in our community

Columbia County Health and Human Services’ monthly Parent Support Group is a safe space for parents and caregivers to ask questions, learn about various topics, and discover community support.

Each session is led by MiKayla Olson, BSN, RN, and will cover a broad topic of discussion with a “Question and Answer” at the end of the allotted time. The support group is primarily geared towards new mothers but is open and welcoming to other caregivers as well! This includes fathers, family members gaining custody, and adoptive or foster parents of young children.

All meetings are completely free and aim to provide more support and encouragement for parents in Columbia County.

Meetings for the Parent Support Group will be held at the Columbia County Health and Human Services building, and parents are encouraged to bring their babies/children to the building office during the events. The date for the group’s first meeting will be Tuesday, February 20 from 9:00 am – 11:00 am.

There are no income or program restrictions, and the group is open to all who wish to attend. Transportation options may be arranged if this is a concern for you.

Please contact MiKayla Olson, BSN, RN, with questions at 608-697-0565.

New flyers with updated dates/times for future meetings will be distributed throughout the Columbia County Health and Human Services building, the County, and on social media.
